The movement trainer MOTOmed loop light offers high-quality basic care. It contains the elementary functions for safe movement in the case of paralysis and spasticity. The MOTOmed loop light is available as a leg trainer, arm trainer or leg/arm trainer.

Among other things, the MOTOmed loop impresses with its unique digital intelligence and its visual appearance. Almost all models can be expanded in terms of equipment and functionality with an upgrade bundle. The MOTOmed loop is also characterized by its unique height adjustment, with which users can adjust the height of their MOTOmed models without tools, as well as the quick and easy changeover from arm to leg training. In addition, the high-quality material of the softly rounded surfaces of the MOTOmed next generation meets the high requirements of hygiene management in facilities and clinics.

Boarding aid

The entry aid function makes it easier to put your feet in the foot shells before you start training. Using a button on the control unit, the user can steplessly move the foot shells into the appropriate position.

Motion protection

If muscle cramps, spasms or blockage of movement (freezing) occur during training, this function stops the pedal movement. It doesn't matter how the basic tension of the muscles changes, the motion protection does not remain constant, but automatically adapts to any change. As a result, it always remains optimally sensitive. This function is implemented in all MOTOmed models by a sensitive sensor system.

spasm relief program

This feature works closely with Motion Shield and can relax and release detected spasms or cramps. The basis for the development of such a function is the following therapeutic principle: flexion spasms are released by stretching and extension spasms by bending. The automatic change in direction of rotation of the spasm relaxation program can relieve the cramps detected by the MovementProtector. If a cramp occurs, the motor gently stops the crank movement. Legs or arms are relieved and after a rest phase, the direction of rotation is gently changed. This process is repeated until the cramp is released

servo pedaling

Similar to a bicycle with an auxiliary motor, the MOTOmed ServoTreten function supports the user in carrying out their active movement. The function enables the trainee to actively perform movements even with the slightest of their own strength. Residual muscle strength can be recognized and built up without excessive effort.

symmetry training

The symmetry training function unfolds its beneficial effect when it comes to specifically strengthening the weaker side. Depending on the model, the representation of the function differs. With the MOTOmed viva2 models, the user can see from a 2-bar diagram how much of the force he has exerted is exerted on the left or right side of the body. With the MOTOmed muvi, this function is displayed via an animated figure. Due to this graphic representation, the user can use his "weaker" side of the body in a targeted manner during the training. Symmetry training prevents the healthy extremities from being overloaded.

training feedback

All MOTOmed models give the user a wide range of training feedback. Training values such as duration, distance, symmetry, total turnover, tone, average and maximum active performance as well as the active and passive training share can be viewed by the user in real time, during training and as an overall evaluation after training read on the screen.
